ABTA provides free agent places for upcoming conferences

ABTA – The Travel Association has released a limited number of complimentary places for travel agent Members to attend a number of upcoming conferences this year.

The all-day events will provide an opportunity for travel agency representatives to hear from expert speakers about the latest market trends, gain advice on better selling and marketing their travel products, and network with suppliers and other ABTA Members.

The first of these is ABTA’s Over 50s Traveller Conference, taking place on 25 September 2019 at The UK Chamber of Shipping, London. Those attending will learn what the mature traveller is looking for and discover how to better tailor their marketing strategies for this changing demographic.

Complimentary places are also available for ABTA’s New Markets in Cruise Conference, taking place on 2 October 2019 in central London, and for the new Adventure Travel Conference on 19 November 2019, also in London.

At the New Markets in Cruise Conference attendees will hear about the emerging trends in the cruise travel market, how to attract new cruisers and sell the benefits of river and ocean holidays. Meanwhile, the Adventure Travel Conference will look at the trends and challenges associated with one of the fastest growing sectors in the travel industry. For more information about these and other upcoming events visit: abta.com/abtaevents

The speaker line-up at each event will include representatives from ABTA, ABTA Members and leading industry experts including: Google,  The Adventure Travel Trade Association, Deloitte and many more.

The complimentary places will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis and are aimed at senior managers including: owners, directors, general managers, team leaders and those in business development roles. To apply for one of the places agents should email events@abta.co.uk

The free agent places are funded by sponsor partners: A-Rosa, G Adventures, Hurtigruten and Just You.

Victoria Bacon, ABTA’s Director of Brand and Business Development, said:

“The upcoming events are an example of the diverse range of conferences and seminars we host throughout the year. Mature travel, cruise and adventure travel are all growing markets and we have assembled an exciting speaker line-up at each event to discuss the key trends and challenges for travel businesses selling holidays to these audiences.

“The free places offer an opportunity for ABTA Member travel agents to gain the latest insights from the industry, while also networking with other ABTA Members.”
