ABTA’s one day event ‘Data Management and Protection in Travel’ returns, taking place on 19 April at America Square Conference Centre in central London. This practical training will provide a deep-dive into the regulations surrounding data protection. 

The day will be moderated by Simon Blanchard, a Partner at Data Protection Network (DPN) Associates who has extensive experience in advising large and medium multinational organisations on data compliance. The event will feature presentations from DMH Stallard, Flight Centre Travel Group and ABTA and attendees can expect a refresher on the essential areas of data management and protection, including:

• An essential update on the regulations affecting data protection. 
• What’s next for data protection; EU retained laws, GDPR and EU e-privacy.
• Practical workshops; working through a mock data breach, and reacting to a subject information request.
• The challenges and processes when managing data in the travel industry.
