WTM 2019 round-up

ABTA at WTM 2019

This year’s World Travel Market (WTM) was a great opportunity for us to meet with a range of destinations from across the globe to share Members feedback on holiday habits, market trends as well as health, safety and sustainability issues. It was a chance to build on existing relationships and meet those new in posts to introduce ABTA and the work of our Members.

Working with destinations continues to be a vital part of ABTA’s role. From the strategic issues facing the industry to the state of the market and Brexit impacts on UK consumers, destinations always welcome hearing ABTA’s views to assist them in shaping and guiding their initiatives on safety management, security, sustainability and resort operations more generally. The team also raised awareness of the work of ABTA and its Members on a range of panels from Taking responsibility for safety and security, FCO travel advice, animal welfare and accessible tourism.

We are in contact with the major destinations year-round, especially at times of crisis. If you have any concerns or issues you would like us to know about please contact the team on destinations@abta.co.uk
