Typhoon Hagibis

Typhoon Hagibis is expected to reach Japan on Saturday, and will cause widespread disruption.

The typhoon, described as the biggest of the year, is set to wreak havoc in Tokyo and surrounding areas and is expected to cause widespread disruption throughout Saturday, with public transport shut down in some areas including Tokyo, Yokohama and City of Toyota.

Customers on holiday in the region are advised to monitor news reports and follow any advice or instructions issued by the local authorities, their travel and accommodation providers.

Customers imminently due to travel to or from the region should liaise with their travel provider and airlines to establish whether their travel arrangements may be affected by Hagibis.
