The Travel Convention, UK travel’s most forward-looking event, will explore the cornerstones of the future relationship between the travel industry and the traveller from 8-10 October in Seville.

With Truth, Trust and the Future of the Expert as its theme, recent additions to the speaker lineup include Sofia Natal, Global Customer Experience Transformation Expert, IBM iX, who will explore The Psychology of Shopping; Bryony Gordon, Feature Writer & Columnist, The Telegraph, speaking about the positive role that travel plays in mental health and wellbeing; and Maajid Nawaz, Presenter, Global’s LBC, who will focus on how to build trust in an uncertain world.

The Tuesday morning will see Travel Weekly host an invitation only Breakfast Briefing to discuss how the balance between high street and digital distribution, third party and direct sales and major groups and independents might look in 12 months.

A second Breakfast Briefing will take place on the Wednesday morning, with Amadeus inviting delegates to learn more about New Distribution Capability (NDC) and what it means for the travel industry.

Beyond the business sessions and workshops, networking opportunities will include two lunches, two evening parties, nightly Convention bars and a variety of activities including a golf tournament, football match, Ride For Your LifeLine charity bike ride as well as local excursions.

The Travel Convention will draw to a close at 3:30pm on Wednesday 10 October. With the final evening being free of official events, the optional Convention Supper Club offers delegates with the perfect opportunity to say farewell to old and new acquaintances.
