During The Travel Convention 2018, delegates will be treated to two spectacular parties organised by our Convention Hosts, which will showcase gastronomic and entertainment highlights of Seville and the surrounding Province.
 
The Opening Ceremony and Welcome Party, on Monday 8 October, will take place in Seville’s Casino de la Exposición, one of the city’s cultural centres of reference. Following pre-dinner drinks, delegates will take a short transfer to the Casino, which was originally built for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. The official welcome to Seville from the Convention’s Host Partners will include a very special performance of opera and arias in the Teatro Lope de Vega, a Baroque Revival theatre within the Casino. The Opening Ceremony will be followed by a Welcome Party in the main hall, hosted by the Spanish Tourist Office. The Party will include an Andalusian buffet feast featuring local delicacies as well as lively cosmopolitan-style entertainment.
 
Another night of delicious food, drink and entertainment awaits delegates on the Tuesday evening of the Convention, courtesy of the Seville Province Tourist Board. The Party in the Province will take place at the Cortijo Torre de la Reina (Tower of the Queen), which is now a luxury boutique hotel located just 15 minutes drive from the Convention headquarters hotel. Sevillanos in colourful local dress will welcome delegates to a feria-themed cocktail reception in the venue’s magnificent and extensive gardens complete with striped canvas ‘caseta’ stalls where local drinks and appetisers including Iberian hams, cheeses and more will be served to the strains of live music featuring piano, flute and percussion. The festive ambiance will continue as delegates move inside for a mouth-watering sit down meal featuring traditional Spanish dishes, fine wines, beer and soft drinks. Entertainment highlights will include a flamenco show and lively ‘Sevillanas’ music throughout the evening. 
 
This year’s Travel Convention will take place in Seville at the Barceló Sevilla Renacimiento, from Monday 8 to Wednesday 10 October 2018 and will explore the cornerstones of the future relationship between the travel industry and the traveller. With Truth, Trust and the Future of the Expert as its theme, plenary sessions and specialist workshops, will focus on the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead following the events of the last twelve months. Delegate accommodation is available at the Barceló Sevilla Renacimiento and the Eurostars Torre Sevilla on a Bed & Breakfast basis, and several airlines operate direct flights to Seville from the UK.
