The Travel Convention: Early Bird registration ends 29 June

There is just over a week to go until the Early Bird registration offer for the 2018 Travel Convention comes to an end.

UK travel’s most forward-looking conference will take place from 8 to 10 October in Seville, providing ABTA’s Members and the wider industry with a broad spectrum of tips and insights designed to help them shape the travel industry of tomorrow, rather than be shaped by it.

In a year dominated by the fake news phenomenon, this year’s Travel Convention will have Truth, Trust and the Future of the Expert as its theme, exploring the cornerstones of the future relationship between the travel industry and the traveller.

Welcoming senior professionals spanning the full breadth of mainstream and specialist travel as well as service providers, the Convention will feature an exceptional three-day programme of events designed to inspire, update and facilitate networking amongst travel industry colleagues. In addition to the plenary sessions and specialist workshops featuring a stellar lineup of guest speakers, including Johan Lundgren, Chief Executive Officer, easyJet; Gloria Guevara Manzo, President & CEO, World Travel & Tourism Council; Rory Sutherland, Executive Creative Director, Ogilvy One; and Dr Paul Redmond, Director of Student Experience and Enhancement, Liverpool University, the event will also offer delegates the chance to enjoy hosted lunches, two evening parties, Convention bars and a variety of sports, social and sightseeing opportunities.

Rich in history and renowned for its flamenco, tapas bars and orange trees, Seville is the capital and largest city of Andalusia. The climate in October is exceptional with temperatures in the mid-twenties and virtually guaranteed sunshine. Highlights include the breathtaking UNESCO-listed Alcázar royal palace, the spectacular cathedral with its Moorish bell tower, La Giralda, and the lively Triana and Alameda districts.  A selection of excursions designed to showcase the cultural and natural heritage of Andalusia’s capital have been organised for delegates featuring a complimentary tour of the city of Seville; a flamenco museum tour and live show; and a traditional Sevillian gastronomy experience. Sporting activities include the return of the Convention Golf Tournament, which will take place at the renowned Club Zaudin Golf Sevilla; the annual Convention Football Match; and ‘Ride for Your LifeLine’ sponsored by Avis, a fundraising event in aid of ABTA’s charitable trust.

No other conference brings together as many UK senior travel industry representatives and leaders – make sure you book before 29 June to benefit from the Early Bird fees! For further information view the digital registration brochure.
