ABTA's '30 minute' MBA

Two business experts and authors of ‘The 80 minute MBA: Everything You'll Never Learn at Business School,’ will deliver a specially developed, entertaining, and instantly accessible MBA (Masters of Business Administration) in just 30 minutes at the Travel Convention in October.

Designed to be enjoyed in the time it takes most strategy meetings to get past coffee and biscuits, this session will open delegates’ minds to different ways of thinking about leadership, sustainability and culture.

The speakers - Richard Reeves, Director of think-tank Demos has been described as Britain’s leading expert on workplace trends. John Knell is one of the UK’s leading thinkers on the changing face of work and organisations. Both are co-founders of ‘Intelligence Agency’, a strategy and research consultancy, who has amongst its clients BT, Accenture, Sky, PricewaterhouseCoopers, PepsiCo, Orange and the BBC. They are also both contributors to the Whitehall Top Management Programme.

This shortened MBA is clearly not the traditional qualification which to many is a ‘must have’ in the corporate world, but for those wanting to get a hit of high-business inspiration without spending two years back at school, this session is the one for them.

ABTA Chief Executive, Mark Tanzer, who has an MBA from Harvard Business School said: “There is no doubt that business is becoming more pressured and the quicker great learning can be delivered, the better.  This version of the 80 Minute MBA, developed especially for The Travel Convention, will be an injection of inspiration, creative thinking and dynamic approaches which will help us see the world of business differently”.
