Helping to keep your customers safe on holiday

The busiest months of the year are rapidly approaching and millions of British holidaymakers will soon be heading overseas. The vast majority will have very enjoyable experiences, but it’s a good time to take the opportunity to remind them of easy steps they can take to have a safe and healthy holiday.

Many, if not most, health and safety incidents can be prevented by taking sensible precautions and avoiding certain forms of behaviour. Our Destinations team has put together some useful tips in the form of an updated leaflet that Members can embed within emails or host on websites and is easy to read on any device, including mobile phones or tablets. By sharing this information, you can demonstrate a clear commitment to your customers’ well-being and safety and potentially help prevent incidents occurring. Download the leaflet here.

Customers always tell us in our consumer research that they value the protection and guidance offered by ABTA and our Members and this is another way you can help your customers travel with confidence.

On a separate note, tomorrow is a start of a new membership year, and we’re looking forward to working with you over the next 12 months. You will shortly be receiving your renewals pack, but you can access all the information about your ABTA membership and how to make the most of it here: abta.com/yourABTAmembership. You can also download a variety of digital assets to promote your membership online and across your social media channels. With our research showing that 70% of consumers are more likely to book with an ABTA member than an organisation which is not, it pays to let people know that you’re an ABTA Member.
