Share your experiences of the recovery

The industry is very much in recovery mode from the pandemic. The lifting of UK travel restrictions and relaxation of measures in many destinations has made it easier to travel and we know that more and more people are taking the opportunity to catch up on holidays abroad.

But we also know the recovery is not without its challenges, which is why we want to hear from Members about your experiences.

Our new industry survey, run with our partners in the Save Future Travel Coalition, aims to establish booking levels and trends for the Easter and summer periods, as well as identify any remaining barriers or concerns which are holding back bookings.

We’re also looking to gather more insight into employment levels and recruitment challenges.

The findings will inform and support our political engagement both on the what the industry needs for a steady recovery and the lessons to be learned on the handling of international travel during the pandemic.

The survey, and associated activity, is part of ABTA’s continued conversation with both Members and government about future travel policy.

The survey is open to all ABTA Members and members of Save Future Travel Coalition partners.

You can find the survey here and the deadline for responses is Friday 29 April.

Separately, I’m pleased to welcome Ailsa Pollard, UK and Europe CEO for dnata Travel Group, to ABTA’s Board and thank John Bevan for his invaluable contribution as he steps down after four years on the Board. Full details can be found in this edition of ABTA Today.
