Last chance to book at the early bird rate for ABTA’s virtual Travel Convention

The early bird rate for ABTA's annual flagship event ends on Monday 31 August. ABTA Members and Partners can currently register for just £79 plus VAT (non Members can register for £199 plus VAT). On 1 September this early bird rate will end and the standard fee will apply of £125 plus VAT. 

On 14 October 2020, ABTA’s annual Travel Convention will take place as a one-day virtual event, bringing travel industry leaders together at this crucial time. The theme this year will be Rebuilding Confidence in Travel with content addressing how we can rebuild consumer confidence, operate and restart travel, sustainably, in a world with COVID-19.

Chris Ship, the Royal Editor at ITV News, returns to moderate. Other speaker highlights include ABTA’s Mark Tanzer, WTTC’s President and CEO Gloria Guevara and a panel of Chief Economists including KPMG’s Yael Selfin.

Industry speakers include John Bevan, CEO, dnata Travel Group, Giles Hawke, CEO, Cosmos, Jo Rzymowska, Vice President & Managing Director, EMEA, Celebrity Cruises and Ian Henry, Chief Executive, Leger Holidays. 

Raoul Ruparel OBE, a former Special Adviser to the Prime Minister on Europe, now based in Deloitte’s Global Brexit Insights team, will discuss trade policy and what the UK’s exit from the EU means for travel. Hear about diversity and inclusion from authoritative voice, Jamie-Lee Abtar of BAME Women in Travel and Uwern Jong, Editor-in-Chief, Out There magazine. 

Guest speakers this year include Dr Paul Redmond and Founder of Green & Black’s, Jo Fairley. 

The business sessions, specialist workshops and networking opportunities will be delivered to delegates via a virtual event portal. Keynote speakers and panel debates will delivered from an impressive virtual studio – delegates can expect a Convention stage set, virtual 3D images and professional editing and broadcasting.
