Update for travellers on Orly Airport, Paris

Following an incident at Orly Airport this morning, the airport has now re-opened.

Travellers should contact their airlines for further information, and follow advice given by the local authorities. Travellers in Paris are advised to follow the instructions of Paris security authorities and to keep up-to-date with travel advice from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.  

There is a high threat from terrorism in France and the French government has warned the public to be especially vigilant.

The Government has reinforced its security measures in light of the terror threat, including the increased presence of armed police forces at beaches, airports, ports and festivals.
