Two new appointments to the ABTA Board
The ABTA Board has appointed two new members to its Board of Directors.
Lady Minette Batters and Chris Wright join the ABTA Board with immediate effect.
Lady Batters is the former President of the National Farmers’ Union. She brings a wealth of experience dealing with senior politicians having worked with four Prime Ministers and six Defra Secretaries of State during her presidency.
Chris Wright is Group Managing Director of Sunvil. He is a senior travel industry professional with 26 years of experience in strategic management, business development, operations, aviation, retail travel and industry regulation.
Their appointments were confirmed at ABTA’s AGM on 28 November, together with Giles Hawke of Royal Caribbean Group, who was elected to the ABTA Board earlier this month.
Alistair Rowland ABTA Chairman said:
“I am delighted to welcome Lady Minette Batters and Chris Wright to the ABTA Board. Moving forward their varied and in-depth experience and expertise will prove invaluable as we continue to represent members’ interests with Government and other influential decision makers.
“I would also like to thank Derek Jones who is stepping down from the Board, for his service and invaluable input during his time on the Board.”
Derek Jones served on the ABTA Board for over six years and remains in his role as Chairman of ABTA LifeLine.
