ABTA attended the fantastic Travel Brit Awards on Sunday. This was the 7th annual event of the only award ceremony celebrating travel agents selling domestic products and took place just miles from le grand depart (of the Tour de France) – a great showcase for the UK and Yorkshire.
The awards were preceded by an afternoon of fun operator activities from Bourne Leisure, Shearings Holidays, Superbreak, The Hoseasons Group, Great Rail Journeys, Warner, Visit England and ABTA.
It was great to meet so many agents during the day and night and wonderful to see their achievements celebrated at the awards ceremony. We also revealed the winner of ABTA’s ‘Going the Extra Mile Award’ which celebrates great customer service and were delighted to present this to Alexis Webster of Princess Cruises – a real customer service superstar!
The evening’s gala dinner continued to celebrate all things British with a red white and blue dress code which you can see on the front page of media sponsor Travel Weekly’s edition this week.
