A Tale of Two Cities – Marrakech and Birmingham

For the first time in three years, hundreds of delegates will attend an overseas ABTA Travel Convention next week. The Convention brings an opportunity for ABTA colleagues, Members, Partners and others in the industry not just to discuss industry issues and do business, but also to make new contacts and deepen their knowledge of the industry. That means a more informed travel sector, and an ABTA even better able to support you with up-to-date knowledge and advice.

We’ll be discussing the economic and policy landscape, the latest demographic trends, changes in the way the business of travel works, and also unveiling two new reports –the Climate Action Guidebook (together with Deloitte) and our new Holiday Habits study.

Taking place in the historic city of Marrakech, we’ll experience developments in Morocco’s tourist landscape first hand.

Another city has held a conference this week, which for different reasons is highly relevant to our sector. ABTA was at the Conservative Party conference in Birmingham, attending to support our work with new ministers and advisors who’ve come into their posts recently, helping to lay the ground for further Government lobbying to come.
