Spanish Air Traffic Control strike action

The remaining proposed Spanish Air Traffic strike is scheduled for 14 June. However we do not anticipate challenges as the strike on 8 and 10 June did not impact on flight programmes.

The remainder of the strikes are scheduled as follows:

Dates: 14 June

0800-1000 UTC          10.00 – 12.00       local time                      
1600-1800 UTC          18.00 – 20.00       local time                     

Members are advised to continue to monitor the situation liaise with their airlines to establish potential impacts on their flight programmes. Customers should be updated accordingly.

Customers are advised to carry essential items such as medication, baby formula, nappies etc. and items such as books or game to keep their children occupied in their hand luggage.

Spanish Air Traffic Control Strike

easyJet has been advised of planned industrial strike action by Spanish Air Traffic Control services on 8, 10, 12 and 14 June for two hours each morning and two hours each afternoon.

At this stage easyJet plans to operate its full schedule, however, like other airlines, some flights operated during these periods might be delayed.

We recommend that all customers flying to or from Spain on 8, 10, 12 and 14 June check the status of their flight on our Flight Tracker page before going to the airport.

We would like to reassure customers that we are doing everything possible to minimise any disruption as a result of the industrial action.

Operational update (2) - Spain ATC strikes

A reminder that Spanish Air Traffic Controllers (ATC) have been taking part in a series of two-hour work stoppages this week from 1000-1200hrs and 1800-2000hrs (local time), on 08, 10, 12 and 14 June 2015.

The latest information is as follows:-

The strikes have not impacted BA services so far
BA continues to plan a full schedule for today and Sunday’s stoppages
IB services have a high possibility for disruption due to the volume of flights

Monarch Airlines

Luton, UK –29, May, 2015) Monarch Airlines would like to make customers aware of potential industrial strike action by Air Traffic Control in June 2015.

The strike is taking place on four separate days –8th, 10th, 12th and 14th June – for two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon. Exact timings are yet to be confirmed however,
Monarch’s operations team is working hard to ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum. We will advise customers accordingly on their flight status via email or SMS.

We would advise all customers to check-in as normal. We would kindly request that customers to allow plenty of time to check in at the airport for flights to and from Spain during these dates. For your reference, check-in opens three hours before departure and closes 45 minutes before departure.

Monarch has operated a normal service throughout today, Monday 8th June.

The proposed Spanish Air Traffic Control strike action is going ahead on 8, 10, 12 and 14 June and the following strike hours are confirmed:

08:00-10:00 UTC          10:00-12:00 Spanish local time                    
16:00-18:00 UTC          18:00-20:00 Spanish local time

Customers due to travel on these dates should check with their airline or travel provider for the latest information regarding their flight. Please carry essential items such as medication, baby formula, nappies etc. and items such as books or games to keep children occupied, in their hand luggage.
