Registration opens for the Travel Convention in Barcelona

Registration opens today for the Travel Convention organised by ABTA which will take place in Barcelona 6-8 October 2009. Registration fees have been held at 2008 rates and ABTA is encouraging its Members to book their flights now to access the best prices and help ensure that the overall cost of attendance will be lower than last year.

This year's Travel Convention has two satellite events running alongside - The Cruise Forum and The Luxury Travel Forum helping attendees to gain key selling tips and expert knowledge in two highly profitable and essential areas. Accommodation can be booked at the same time as registration. There are just four official Convention Hotels, all conveniently located adjacent to the Convention Centre (CCIB) in the heart of Barcelona’s business district so attendees are encouraged to take their own advice to customers and book early to avoid disappointment!

Peter Long CEO of TUI Plc has agreed to speak at Barcelona about the future for the industry in the current challenging economic climate. Mr Long brings virtually unrivalled experience and expertise to the Convention gained in the highest directorial level positions at Sunworld, First Choice and TUI.

ABTA is also delighted to welcome Specific Media as a headline sponsor. Specific Media are a market leader in the field of targeted online advertising helping companies to achieve maximum publicity benefits from internet based advertising.
