24 Aug 2026 Protected Trust Services joins the Future Travel Coalition, further strengthening the group’s work and impact The Future Travel Coalition (FTC) has further expanded with the addition of Protected Trust Services (PTS). The arrival of PTS further confirms the position of FTC as by far the largest coalition representing the voice of the travel industry when dealing with government and other policy makers. The FTC works collaboratively, meeting regularly to agree priority work and joint messaging, as well as assessing its members’ views and needs through surveys. Recent examples include a letter to Andy Burnham setting out industry asks shortly after his becoming Prime Minister, and surveying members to understand how developments including the Middle East conflict and introduction of EES are affecting businesses. There are now 16 Future Travel Coalition members comprising trade bodies, associations and consortiums.Luke Petherbridge, ABTA’s Director of Public Affairs, said:“Protected Trust Services and its members are a very welcome addition to the Future Travel Coalition.“Since its inception, the intention of the coalition was to give a voice to the widest possible range of travel industry sectors so that we speak with a united, respected voice. PTS represents an important section of the industry which will further increase FTC’s credibility in its lobbying work.”Emma Collis MD at Protected Trust Services, said:“We’re delighted to be joining the Future Travel Coalition and adding the voice of PTS and our members to its important work.“The travel industry is at its strongest when we work together, particularly when it comes to representing the challenges and opportunities facing travel businesses. PTS has always been focused on supporting independent travel businesses, and joining the FTC gives us another valuable opportunity to make sure their views are heard and represented.“We’re looking forward to working alongside the other members of the coalition and playing an active role in helping shape a stronger future for the travel industry.” Notes to editorsFuture Travel Coalition members:ABTA – The Travel AssociationAITO – The Specialist Travel AssociationAdvantage Travel PartnershipAfrican Travel & Tourism Association (ATTA)Association of Northern Ireland Travel Agents (ANITA)Association of Touring and Adventure Suppliers (ATAS)European Tour Operators Association (ETOA)The Business Travel Association (BTA)Cruise Lines International Association UK & Ireland (CLIA)Institute of Travel and TourismLatin American Travel Association (LATA)Protected Trust Services (PTS)Scottish Passenger Agents’ Association (SPAA)Seasonal Businesses in Travel (SBIT)The Travel Network Group (TTNG)UKinboundABTA is a trade association for UK travel agents, tour operators and the wider travel industry.
