New speaker announced for The Travel Convention in Slovenia
Convention host city Ljubljana tipped by press as “must visit” destination
ABTA announces today another main stage speaker for the 2014 Travel Convention which will take place on 21-23 September in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana. Sarah Harper, Oxford University Professor and Director of the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing, joins Justin Urquhart-Stewart, and James Wallman, as main stage speakers on the opening day of the Convention in the Slovenian capital. Ljubljana has been tipped by both Lonely Planet and the Scotsman as a “must visit” destination in 2014.
Sarah Harper will discuss the business impact and business opportunities afforded by an ageing population and rapidly changing demographics. She is ideally placed to provide advice on how to get the most out of this market in her roles as Professor of Gerontology at Oxford University and Director of the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing.
Delegates to the Convention will also have an opportunity to join a number of exclusive excursions to see some of the highlights of Slovenia and Ljubljana. Exclusively for Convention delegates, the Slovenia Tourist Board is hosting complimentary walking tours of the City and excellent value excursions to Lake Bled and the famous Postojna Cave, Slovenia’s number one tourist attraction.
Both Lonely Planet and the Scotsman are tipping Ljubljana as a must visit destination in 2014.
