ABTA is delighted to announce the appointment of John de Vial as its new Head of Financial Protection, a role he will take up on a full time basis on 19 May. This is a new role reflecting a sharper focus on financial protection as an issue of great significance for ABTA Members.  Mr de Vial will leave his current positions as ABTA’s Acting Head of Finance and Shearings Group’s Director of External Affairs. He also serves as an ABTA Board member and will step down at the ABTA AGM in May.

Mark Tanzer ABTA Chief Executive said: “John has a unique and invaluable combination of 30 years of ABTA and industry knowledge, Member and ABTA Board experience. His extensive experience in financial protection and claims management procedures from previous roles will be of enormous value for ABTA with our ongoing work around financial protection. John’s experience and skills will continue to be a huge asset to ABTA.”
