Important information for ABTA Members

Earlier in the summer the CAA launched a new consultation called “rebalancing ATOL” with a proposal to abolish the Small Business ATOL attracting considerable attention. In fact, this consultation from the CAA covers a number of different proposals that will impact all ATOL holders, most directly those with a licensable turnover of less than £5million. With this in mind, ABTA will next week launch a questionnaire to all Members asking for your views on the proposals. To help you to better understand what is in the consultation and what it might mean for your business, we are inviting Members to attend a Conference Call on the 2nd September, hosted by John de Vial, ABTA’s Head of Financial Protection. Details of the questionnaire and the call will feature in a special edition of ABTA Today next week, so please look out for this and ensure you register. It is very important that we hear Members’ views on the proposals, and we will use these to inform ABTA’s response to the CAA ahead of the consultation deadline on 6th October.
