ABTA - The Travel Association, announces today that Fraser Ellacott, Customer Operations Director of TUI UK & Ireland, has joined the ABTA Board of Directors. His appointment follows the decision of Nick Longman, Distribution Director of TUI, to step down from the Board.

Mark Tanzer, ABTA Chief Executive said: “I am delighted to welcome Fraser to the ABTA Board, he has a proven track record in the industry and his wide-ranging experience will be of great value to ABTA as we continue to progress our plan. I would also like to thank Nick Longman for his excellent contribution to ABTA during his time on the Board.”

It is important to ensure that the breadth and depth of our travel experience at TUI will continue to support the debate in the changing world of technology and consumer protection’

Fraser Ellacott was appointed Customer Operations Director of TUI in September 2013. The newly created role on the TUI UK & Ireland board saw him assume responsibility for all customer-facing areas, including retail, financial services, contact centres, overseas holiday experience, commercial and ancillaries and the property portfolio, as well as the Thomson Cruises business.
