Event line-ups bring new perspectives to help our industry
When ABTA hosts an event or conference, we consider our speaker line-ups carefully. Many of our speakers you wouldn’t normally see at events elsewhere, but are still highly relevant, informative and thought provoking. So I’m extremely pleased that the UK’s new Aviation Minister, Mike Kane MP, will be a keynote speaker at this year’s Travel Matters conference.
This annual event focuses on policy and politics affecting the travel and tourism sector, and always gets to the heart of issues which matter to your business, and the wider industry. The Minister will be speaking just a few months into his post, and what he has to say will be essential listening as a guide to what may be changing.
Meanwhile, we are just a few weeks away from our annual Travel Convention, bringing the travel industry together to discuss this year’s theme, ‘Shaping our Future’. It’s vital to understand the economic and political worlds we’re operating in, and Ros Atkins – journalist, broadcaster and the BBC’s analysis editor - will be giving his perspective.
At the same event, Minette Batters, the high-profile former President of the National Farmers Union, will share her views on how we can lead on sustainability based on her experience in food and farming. The Convention’s business programme will be moderated by Jonathan Samuels, Sky News presenter and travel writer.
Travel Matters and The Travel Convention are just two of many events which we are bringing to you over the next few months. Our full events programme up until June 2025 has now gone live. Whether your goal is to train your teams, keep up to date with latest trends or find those golden nuggets of information to help your business run successfully, there will be something for you.
