Changes to liquid restrictions at EU airports

From 31 January 2014, a liquid restriction change was introduced concerning duty free liquids bought at airports outside of the EU or on board non-EU air carriers.

It has been advised that going forward, provided that these duty-free liquids are packed in the security bag issued at the time of purchase, passengers may transfer with it at an EU airport onto a connecting flight. Previously these liquids would have been confiscated.

Please note there have been no other changes to the security requirements for liquids.

For further information, please see the new security rules on the European Commission website.
