Brexit contingency planning

It is another week of turmoil in British politics resulting in continued uncertainty for business, which is clearly extremely frustrating, particularly as we enter into what is traditionally a very popular booking season over Xmas and the New Year.

Whatever the outcome of the latest developments, we continue to recommend Members to be as prepared as possible. ABTA’s guidance on contingency planning will help Members do this, and it has been updated this week to take account of the latest political developments and recent announcements on aviation access and visa-free travel in the event of no-deal.

ABTA’s consumer-facing messaging is also available for Members to share with their customers, which will also help answer any questions about what Brexit might mean for people’s existing travel arrangements or future plans.

We will be doing our best to support Members during the early booking period with an exciting new advertising campaign encouraging people to book with an ABTA Member – look out for more information next week.
