Bakewell Travel wins the ‘Best use of ABTA branding’ award at the Travel Brits

ABTA is delighted to announce that Bakewell Travel has won the ‘Best use of ABTA branding’ award at this year’s Travel Brit Awards. Butterfly Travel and Courtney World Travel were also highly commended at the awards ceremony, which took place on Sunday 2 July at Cricket St Thomas hotel in Somerset.

The award was open to any ABTA Member who uses the ABTA logo or branding to promote their membership and the value of it; whether that is through window displays, social media, direct marketing or blogging. Bakewell Travel, Butterfly Travel and Courtney World Travel all demonstrated a clear commitment to promoting the ABTA brand and logo and the judges praised the efforts of all three entries.

Independent agency Bakewell Travel was chosen as the winner due to their well-placed ABTA logos, which offer great visibility and presence. ABTA’s judges also felt that the way they speak about and promote their Membership makes their customers aware that by booking with an ABTA Member they can ‘Travel with confidence’.

The Travel Brit Awards are the leading awards promoting domestic tourism. The event, which took place on Sunday 2 July included an afternoon of fun filled activities to enable travel agents to broaden their knowledge of the domestic industry and key sponsors and a gala dinner, with a ‘Red, White and Blue’ theme.

On winning the award Bakewell Travel stated: “We feel it is important to make our clients aware of the benefits of booking with an ABTA agent and the benefits of booking with us.”

Victoria Bacon, ABTA Director of Brand and Business Development said: “My congratulations go out to our winners, Bakewell Travel and to our runners up, Butterfly Travel and Courtney World Travel. It is fantastic to see our Members using the ABTA brand to help their customers travel with confidence. The ABTA brand enjoys powerful public brand recognition and I would urge Members to make full use of the logo to add value to their business.”
