ABTA’s Introduction to Travel training day

ABTA’s Introduction to Travel training day is ideal for those who want to further their knowledge of the travel industry or are new to travel. The event will be moderated by ABTA’s Head of Membership, Danny Waine. Delegates will learn about the fundamentals of travel including financial protection, legal regulations, and consumer sentiment.

Travlaw’s Matt Gatenby, will look at the main legislation affecting travel, the Package Travel Regulations (PTRs). Matt will lead a workshop to help understand the legal obligations under the PTRs and how to respond to queries from customers and suppliers.

Delegates will also hear from Villa Plus and a number of ABTA representatives, and will receive updates on consumer sentiment and travel trends, learn about climate goals and sustainable travel work in the industry. Additional sessions include health, safety and security protocols and ABTA’s work in this area.

Travel professionals who are new to travel or who want a refresher on the core principles governing travel are encouraged to attend. The event is also open to students, graduates and apprentices looking to further their knowledge of the travel industry.

ABTA’s new Introduction to Travel training day is being held on 15 September 2022 at our offices in London. Download an agenda and register your place.
