There are a number of wildfires in Southern France and Corsica and some areas have been evacuated. Holidaymakers in the affected areas should follow the advice of the local authorities to the letter, stay in touch with their travel provider and monitor local media reports as well as checking the Foreign Office travel advice for France.

Holidaymakers on package holidays with imminent travel plans to the affected areas of France and Corsica will be contacted by their travel providers in the event that it is necessary to amend their holiday arrangements, though we have had no reports from our Members stating that properties they use have been affected by the fires. Independent travellers are advised to check with their accommodation providers.
