ABTA statement on sale of Gatwick Airport

ABTA broadly welcomed the announcement today that Gatwick Airport is to be sold by its current owners BAA to Global Infrastructure Partners.  Casia Zajac ABTA Head of Communications said: “We welcome the announcement by the new owners of Gatwick airport that they will concentrate investment on improving the services at the airport. Gatwick is very important to our Members as it is the main hub in the UK for charter airlines and any improvements in customer experience will be of great benefit.”
