This week we launched our 2019 Travel Trends report to an audience of 100 guests. These included leading travel journalists, ABTA Members and people from across the industry. This was the first time we have launched the report in this way and it was generally very enthusiastically received by attendees. Over the years ABTA’s annual Travel Trends Report has become an established fixture in the travel industry calendar, attracting both national and international media attention.
An important component of the report is the list of “12 destinations to watch”. Destinations that make the list greatly appreciate inclusion, viewing it as both valued recognition from the UK’s leading travel association as well as a useful marketing tool.
We also identified key trends expected to shape customers’ holiday choices in 2019, such as the move of responsible travel to the mainstream, the resurgence of the trusted travel expert and the growth in wellness and tailor made package holidays.
