ABTA launches Travel Matters 2017 conference

Peter Fankhauser, CEO Thomas Cook and broadcaster Andrew Pierce announced as speakers

ABTA’s annual policy conference, Travel Matters, which brings together senior industry and political leaders, will take place on 28 June 2017 at RSA House in London. One year on from the UK’s decision to leave the European Union, the theme of the half day event will be ‘Redrawing the Map’ and discussions will focus on the crucial policy matters for the travel industry arising out of Brexit.

Keynote speaker, Peter Fankhauser, Chief Executive of Thomas Cook Group will be giving the headline industry keynote at this year’s event. Peter will touch on industry hot topics such as Brexit, the changing travel landscape, and how Thomas Cook is adapting.

British journalist, and broadcaster Andrew Pierce will offer his take on the current political landscape. He is currently Consultant Editor and Columnist at the Daily Mail.

Travel Matters will also cover upcoming changes to the Package Travel Directive (PTD) as well as proposed increases to London’s airport capacity.

Travel Matters, sponsored by Deloitte, is an invitation only event for senior representatives from ABTA’s Membership, industry stakeholders, travel and transport media as well as Government departments and bodies.
