ABTA launches new videos to help members make the most of their ABTA membership

ABTA has launched 12 new videos to remind members of the services available to help them run their businesses and to introduce them to some of ABTA’s knowledgeable and expert team.

The videos are available in an online hub at abta.com/memberbenefits. Here members can click on a service to find out how it can support them and meet members of the team.

There is one three-minute summary video, called “All About ABTA”, which gives an overview of the services on offer (see notes to editors for embed code). Speaking in the video, Chief Executive Mark Tanzer says ABTA is a trusted friend of members, providing expertise, as well as understanding the challenges they face as a business.

As part of the video, Head of Membership, Danny Waine, interviews experts from across the ABTA team at the association’s office. The experts emphasise the open and approachable nature of the association and that staff are here to help and support members in building successful businesses.

In addition, eleven 20-second videos give members the chance to meet and put a face to people from some of the different teams at ABTA and understand more about the work they do to support them.

The teams included in the video are Customer Support, Destinations, Public Affairs, Legal Services, Brand and Marketing, Sustainability, Media, Member Support, Financial Protection, Business Support and ABTA’s charity LifeLine. For example, Lisa Kingman of Financial Protection explains her department’s role in helping members comply with the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements regulations.

The videos will be shared across ABTA’s member facing social media channels, in ABTA’s newsletters and at meetings and events with members.

Danny Waine, Head of Membership at ABTA said:

“ABTA provides a wide variety of services to help members run successful travel businesses.

“We really want members to make the most of what ABTA has to offer, and we’re always looking for ways to help get that message across. These videos not only provide a quick and informative snapshot of the services on offer to current members, but also give a good summary to those who are looking to join.

“The videos also offer the chance to meet some of the dedicated, professional ABTA staff who are working on behalf of members and their customers, not just in times of crisis but also in the normal day to day business of our dynamic, exciting, and rewarding industry.”
