ABTA launches new business travel legal seminar

ABTA has launched an exciting new event focussing on the legal basics for Travel Management Companies (TMCs).

Essential Business Travel Law is being held on Thursday 25 January in central London. Event partner Ince & Co, ABTA and other industry experts will help to ensure that you are up to speed on the legal issues for business travel and that you are fully prepared for the regulatory changes ahead.

2018 will see a number of legislative changes including the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), new Package Travel Regulations (PTRs) and the new Payment Services Directive (PSD2). As providers of business travel, your responsibilities to travelling employees are ever increasing and the blurring of lines between business and leisure (bleisure), raises interesting questions regarding your duty of care.

Delegates will hear speakers discuss a variety of topics including the basics of business travel law, the tender process, managing data compliance and VAT-TOMS for TMCs. There will also be a particular focus on duty of care, with issues such as how FCO advice is communicated, the liability of employers, corporate manslaughter and insurance being covered.
