ABTA to hold its third Data Protection and Cyber Security seminar

Following two successful events, ABTA will be holding another Data Protection and Cyber Security seminar for Members and the wider travel community in London on 1 February 2018.

With the aim of ‘de-mystifying’ GDPR, the practical one-day training event will address any outstanding issues facing travel businesses as we enter the final phases of preparation ahead of 25 May.

According to the DMA, over a third of marketers believe that GDPR will improve relationships with customers, as customers are more confident in the way their data is managed. This, along with the more secure processes that companies will be adopting, as part of their GDPR preparation, are some of the positive benefits to the new regulations.

We are pleased to announce that legal firm, and ABTA Partner, Fieldfisher will be the event partner and hosts for this event. Rhys Griffiths, Partner, will moderate the day and will be joined by expert speakers from ABTA, the ICO, UK Home Office and Four Communications.

Held in central London at Fieldfisher’s offices at Riverbank House, the seminar will take stock of the existing level of data protection compliance and update delegates on best practice around safeguarding your data from security threats.
