ABTA appoints new Head of Communications

ABTA has announced the appointment of a new Head of Communications, Victoria Bacon, completing a restructuring of the Association’s Senior Management team which was set in motion by Chief Executive Mark Tanzer.

Victoria has had a distinguished career in Corporate Communications at a senior level and joins from with her current position as Head of Group Communications at Future PLC. Victoria formerly worked in senior communications roles for BP and Kimberly-Clark and at communications agencies Fishburn Hedges and Hill and Knowlton. She will join ABTA on 10 January 2011.

Mark Tanzer said; “We are delighted that Victoria has chosen to join ABTA at this crucial point in the development of the Association. ABTA is committed to a bold reform agenda and effective communications are essential to explain both to our Members and the general public, what we are doing to shape the industry’s future and also to influence key decision makers in Westminster and In Brussels. In Victoria I believe we have found the ideal candidate to ensure our messages are heard and fully understood.”
