The 4th annual Travel Agents’ Brit Awards 2011

ABTA’s UK Tourism and Leisure Committee is delighted to announce the venue for the fourth annual UK Tourism Brit Awards in 2011.  Alvaston Hall Hotel, near Crewe has been chosen to host the event on Sunday 12 June 2011.

Caroline Brown, chair of UKTLG said: “The Awards are a fantastic opportunity for retailers to be recognised for supporting the domestic market.  We are looking forward to a very exciting event.”

For the first time ABTA is sponsoring a Tourism in the Community Award and is inviting applications for the most inspiring initiative supporting the travel agent’s local community.

The winner will be recognised for its contribution to their local community. Are you an ambassador for your local community, do you get involved in local community issues? Are you working with local charities/ schools or providing services to the local community such as work experience placements? Do you work with other local businesses to tackle local community issues or raise funds for good causes? Send your applications to Simon Pickup sustainabletourism@abta.co.uk with a statement in no more than 300 words stating why your branch should win this award.
