What are the advantages of taking my complaint to Arbitration?

There are a number of benefits of using ABTA’s Arbitration Scheme rather than going to court, including:

Speed - Arbitration is usually far quicker than it takes for a court to reach a decision. Ease - Preparing documents is also less formal than at court.
Privacy - Arbitration is confidential between the claimant and respondent. ABTA may analyse the Arbitration awards in order to monitor the effectiveness of the scheme
Convenience - dealt with on a documents only basis, therefore you do not attend a hearing.

The scheme is administered by Hunt ADR Travel Arbitration – Hunt ADR. Your claim will be decided by qualified Arbitrators on documentation only, which may include video or photographic evidence.
