ABTA Board Election 2014

Nominations are now open for election to the Board of Directors for ABTA Principals with annual turnover of not less than £50M. The deadline for nominations is 17:00 on Friday, 5 December 2014.

Who is eligible to stand?

Candidates for election must be a proprietor, a partner or employee of a firm or a director or employee of a corporation which is an ABTA Member or an associated company of an ABTA Member.

For the purpose of the elections a Member's turnover is that declared with their most recent audited accounts lodged with ABTA.

Who may nominate?

Nominations to fill the vacancy must be made by the ABTA Member employing the candidate or an ABTA Member which is an associated company of the candidate's employer. The person nominating should be the proprietor of a sole trader, the partner of a partnership, the company secretary or director of a limited company.

Proposal forms can be found at the end of this page. Candidates are also required to submit a curriculum vitae, including an election statement of not more than 200 words, on the form provided (at the end of this page), and a photograph (head and shoulders) of themselves.

Deadline for nominations

All nominations must reach the Secretariat by 17:00 hours on Friday, 5 December 2014. In the event that there is a ballot, those persons in the appropriate turnover band would be invited to vote. Ballot papers would be sent out in December.
