Government information on no-deal

Today the Government published the latest technical notices outlining the implications of a no-deal Brexit, including information on driving licences, passports and mobile roaming fees.

The Government stressed that its top priority is securing a good deal with the EU.

This is the second batch of no-deal preparation documents, and the government intends to have the full range of notices released by the end of the month. Future batches will include information on aviation access, as well as rules around the operation of bus and coach services.

We are currently reviewing the technical notices and aim to publish information to support Members’ contingency planning for a no-deal scenario within the next week.

We’re also continuing to lobby the EU and UK Government about the priorities for travel, including flights, posting workers abroad, VAT arrangements and consumer rights, and we will be in Brussels in the next few weeks raising these matters with officials from key destination countries.
