ABTA emphasised the severe liquidity crisis that travel businesses were facing in conjunction with the avalanche of refund requests. ABTA also highlighted that, in addition to the gradual re-opening of international borders, recovery of the travel sector would be dependent on the return of consumer confidence and demand for travel and require ongoing, and tailored, support from the Government to avoid further significant redundancies and insolvencies.
