Fraud in Travel - Protecting you and your business

As part of ABTA’s ongoing commitment to combating fraud within the Travel Industry, ABTA is holding a seminar for businesses to become aware of fraud in travel and be given practical tools to reduce the risk of fraud to their business.

This London seminar on 9 September 2009 is being split into two main areas, concentrating on card fraud in the morning and corporate fraud in the afternoon.  There is an option to attend the full day or choose either the morning or afternoon session.

Experts from UK Payments Association, Mastercard Worldwide, ASB Law, 192.com, City of London Police and Clyde & Co will be:

  • tackling just how the fraudsters commit fraud

  • providing practical examples of how to spot the early signs of fraud

  • explaining the impact it can have on your business

  • highlighting legal responsibilities

  • examining the preventative measures you can take to stop anything from happening to you

Mike Monk, ABTA’s Head of Financial Services said: “This is an important event for members to attend to find out the scale of fraud in the travel industry and what members can do to protect their business.”
