ABTA LifeLine, the charity providing help to current and past employees of ABTA members, is delighted to announce donations from three leading travel ABTA Members. Advantage Travel Centres, Kuoni Travel and TUI UK and Ireland have all signed up to ABTA LifeLine's 2011 £1 per employee appeal providing a significant boost to the charity in its efforts to help those where it's needed most.

John McEwan, ABTA Chairman and Advantage Chief Executive said: “Lifeline makes a very real difference to the lives of those who come to it for help. I think it is very important that all ABTA Members do what they can to boost its resources and I am delighted to continue Advantage’s commitment to the £1 per employee campaign.”

Derek Jones, Kuoni Vice President Distributions and Operations said: “Kuoni is delighted to be supporting the Lifeline appeal again this year. Just £1 per employee makes a huge difference to those in the travel industry that need it most”.

Nick Longman, TUI UK and Ireland Distribution and Customer Director said: “ABTA LifeLine provides support and assistance to those in the travel industry who need help the most and TUI UK & Ireland is proud to continue the partnership for a third year. This year, we have pledged to donate £1 for every TUI UK & Ireland employee based in the UK.”

Trudie Drake, ABTA LifeLine Director said:" I am really delighted that Advantage Travel Centres, TUI UK and Ireland and Kuoni Travel have once again committed to supporting our £1 per employee appeal. ABTA LifeLine is there for people in the travel industry who need it most - and it relies on travel industry people to keep it going. If every ABTA Member company, no matter how large or small, supported the appeal, we will be able to help so many more people in our industry who have fallen on difficult times.”

ABTA LifeLine will be holding fund raising activities at the Travel Convention in Palma giving delegates the chance to bid for some amazing prizes at the host dinner as well as holding additional fundraising activities at some of the other sporting and social events.
