ABTA events package terms and conditions

These terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) and ABTA’s general terms and conditions which apply in respect of all of ABTA’s individual events, and which are available here (“General Terms and Conditions”), apply to this package offer (“Offer”). Please read these Terms and Conditions and the General Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing the Offer (as defined below). You should understand that by purchasing the Offer, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and the General Terms and Conditions.

If there is any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and the General Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions will prevail.

In these Terms and Conditions, “ABTA” means ABTA Limited of 30 Park Street, London, SE1 9EQ.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. The Offer is only available in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and to Members/Partners and non-Members of ABTA (“The Customer”) who contact ABTA at events@abta.co.uk to arrange their booking code for a multiple places discounted package across ABTA’s training events (not conferences). For a full list of training events to which the Offer applies, please click here.

  2. The Offer is for The Customer to purchase places in advance, in multiples of 4 and for each 4 places purchased, a 5th place will be given free. The Customer can use the Offer places for any of their employees to attend any of the training events in the events’ year, several employees all to one event or one employee to several events.

  3. The Customer must use all the purchased places within the ABTA events’ year being 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2023. Any unused Offer places cannot be carried over to the following events’ year. Further no refund of any unused places will be given.

  4. The Offer cannot be used alongside any other discounts.

  5. This Offer is only available when the following procedure is used:

5.1 The Customer must contact ABTA at events@abta.co.uk to enquire about the Offer.  ABTA will respond to the email by calling or emailing the Customer back to discuss the Customer’s specific requirements, number of places and details of the package required.
5.2 Once the Customer has confirmed their interest and the number of places they wish to purchase, ABTA will send an invoice to the Customer within 3 days, for payment within 30 days of the date of the invoice or before the date of the first training event the Customer wishes to attend, whichever is the earlier.  Payment will be made by way of a BACS transfer.  Payment of the invoice will confirm the Customer’s acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and agreement to be bound by them.
5.3 Once the payment has been received, ABTA will issue the Customer with a bespoke Offer booking code for attendees to input into the booking system at the time of booking individual training events, thereby enabling the Customer/attendee to book a place without making any further payment.  All such individual training events bookings will be subject to General Terms and Conditions as per the link given above, as well as subject to these Terms and Conditions.

  6. The Customer may use their purchased Offer booking code to book places on training events being run at any date during the ABTA events’ year and prior to the end of the ABTA events’ year.  The places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and are subject to availability with all individual events having an upper allocation limit.  If a training event is already at full capacity, the Customer will not be able to book on to that event, however the ABTA events team will maintain a waiting list and notify the Customer should any spaces become available on that event. Further, the Customer is referred to clause 3 above.

  7. Changes/Cancellations
7.1 ABTA will accept name changes at any time for the booked event.
7.2 Cancellations or amendments must be made in writing to events@abta.co.uk
7.3 If you cancel your place, the following terms will apply:
Up to two weeks prior to the booked event – you will be able to substitute the place on the booked event for another event.
Two weeks or less prior to the booked event – we regret that you cannot substitute the place on the booked event for another event during this time period and will forfeit one place from the available places within the Offer package.
7.4 In the event of late arrival or non-attendance, the booked event will still count as one place from your Offer package.  You will receive the presentation slides from the day.
7.5 It may be necessary for ABTA to cancel or postpone an event if insufficient delegates book or for reasons beyond ABTA’s control. ABTA reserves the right to do so no later than two weeks prior to the date of the event and the Customer will retain that place to use to book another training event. Other than the Customer retaining the place, ABTA will not be responsible for any travel or accommodation costs incurred should an event be postponed or cancelled in this manner.

  8. Data protection
8.1 ABTA will process the information it receives from the Customer or otherwise holds about the Customers or the attendees in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, the General Terms and Conditions, and its privacy policy, which is available here.
8.2 In the event that a Customer does not wish to receive correspondence from ABTA, the Customer should email events@abta.co.uk.

  9. Miscellaneous
9.1 ABTA is not liable for any delay or failure to perform any obligation to the Customers that is caused by any circumstance beyond ABTA’s reasonable control or by any act or omission of any third party. ABTA shall not be liable to any Customer for any financial loss arising out of the refusal, cancellation or withdrawal of the Offer or any failure or inability of a Customer to redeem the Offer for any reason.
9.2 These Terms and Conditions and any non-contractual obligation arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law, and both ABTA and the Customers submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts with regard to any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms and Conditions and any non-contractual obligation arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions.
