In September ABTA commented on a range of topics in the media to promote and protect the industry. This included providing consumer advice and reassurance on travelling to Kenya and Mexico following incidents in these destinations and commenting on the importance of booking Hajj trips with a legitimate travel company. In addition ABTA issued a press release on the best places to visit in September to encourage consumers to take a last minute holiday. In total ABTA received 127 print, broadcast and online mentions during the month. ABTA featured on ITV News, BBC TV South East and Meridian TV.
