Thomas Cook Tour Operations Ltd sold flight-inclusive packages and flights which are protected by ATOL, they also sold non-flight packages and “single elements” (typically accommodation) which are protected by ABTA.
All holidays that have not yet started are cancelled.

If you booked directly with Thomas Cook Tour Operations Limited you should follow the advice below.
Packages with flights included
If your booking included flights, then you will need to contact the CAA as your booking is protected by ATOL.
For customers currently on holiday with a flight package
If you are currently on holiday on a flight based package or flights booked with Thomas Cook Tour Operations Limited and need help, you should contact the CAA.

Your ATOL Certificate will say ’Package Sale’ in the bottom right hand corner.
Non-flight packages or “single elements” (typically accommodation)
If you booked a non-flight package holiday (eg spa holiday or hotel room plus car hire) or accommodation on its own, through Thomas Cook Tour Operations Limited, these are protected by ABTA.
If you paid Thomas Cook Tour Operations Limited directly using a debit or credit card you will need to submit your claim for a refund to your card issuer.

Customers that paid Thomas Cook Tour Operations Limited by any other method will need to submit a claim to ABTA by clicking here, you will need to have your paperwork when submitting your claim.
Customers are advised that they should only download a letter and submit a claim to their card issuer where they have followed all other advice on this site. If you submit a claim when our advice is not to do so, this may lead to a delay in your claim being processed.
Customers that have booked a package holiday provided by Thomas Cook Tour Operations Limited through a travel agent should contact the travel agent in the first instance for further advice and assistance as they may have made alternative arrangements for you.
For customers currently on holiday with a non-flight package or accommodation only:
