ABTA in the news - August round up

In August ABTA commented on a range of topics in the media to promote and protect the industry. This included providing consumer advice and reassurance on travelling to Egypt, explaining consumer rights regarding lost luggage and commenting on baggage charges incurred by passengers. ABTA also commented on the latest FCO campaign advising travellers to know the customs of the country they are visiting. In addition ABTA urged holidaymakers to purchase travel insurance, provided tips to students undertaking a Gap Year, produced advice for holidaymakers hiring Quad bikes and revealed the figures for the bank holiday getaway.

In total ABTA received 900 print, broadcast and online mentions during the month. ABTA featured on Daybreak, Sky News, ITV News, BBC News, BBC TV London, BBC TV Look East, BBC TV South East x2, BBC Your Money, BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio 4 You & Yours and BBC Radio 2.
