Pax Travel Ltd ceases trading – advice for customers

Information for customers with a booking with Pax Travel Ltd.

Pax Travel Ltd ceased trading in November 2021. Their ABTA membership was cancelled with effect from 11 November 2021. 

Depending on the type of holiday and travel arrangements made with Pax Travel Ltd, customers will need to follow the advice set out below.

The majority of travel arrangements booked by Pax Travel Ltd were ATOL flight-inclusive packages. Pax Travel Ltd also sold some non-flight packages.   

Package holidays with flights included

If your booking with Pax Travel Ltd included flights, you will need to contact the CAA as your booking is protected by the CAA’s ATOL scheme. Further information and advice on how to claim is available on the CAA website.

Your ATOL Certificate will say ‘Package Sale’ in the bottom right-hand corner.

Non-Flight Packages 

If you booked a non-flight package holiday (eg a travel without flights) through Pax Travel Ltd, you should follow the advice below.

If you paid Pax Travel Ltd directly using a credit card, you will need to submit your claim for a refund to your card issuer. To assist you in making your claim, you will need to download a letter.

Customers who paid Pax Travel Ltd by any other method will need to contact the ABTA claims team for further advice at claimsrequest@abta.co.uk or by calling 020 3758 8730.  

Any customers with valid claims for non-flight packages will have their claims processed by a third party responsible for those refunds.  ABTA will be required to share your data with that third party in order to arrange for your claim to be processed.

All claims must be submitted no later than 13 October 2022.  Claims received after this date will not be accepted.
