Leisuretime (Wales) Limited ceases trading – advice for customers

Information for customers with a booking with Leisure Time (Wales) Ltd.

Leisure Time Wales Ltd also operated under the following trading names:

  • Leisuretime
  • The Coach Holidays Shop
  • The Short Break Shop

We are sorry to inform you that Leisure Time (Wales) Ltd has ceased trading with effect from 25 March 2022.  Please note that Leisure Time (Wales) Ltd has not been an ABTA Member since 11 December 2020 and holiday bookings made after this date will not be protected by ABTA.  

Depending on the type of holiday and travel arrangements made with Leisure Time (Wales) Ltd customers will need to follow the advice ABTA has set out below.

The majority of travel arrangements booked by Leisure Time (Wales) Ltd was non-flight packages.   

Non-flight packages

If you booked a non-flight package holiday (for example, a holiday including accommodation and coach) prior to 11 December 2020 through Leisure Time (Wales) Ltd, you may be protected by ABTA or by your credit or debit card issuer.  

If you paid Leisure Time (Wales) Ltd directly using a Debit or Credit Card, you will need to submit your claim for a refund to your card issuer. To assist you in making your claim you will need to download a letter. 

Please note: If your payment by DEBIT card was made prior to 01/10/2020 you will be outside the timeframe to claim through your bank and will need to submit your claim to ABTA using the link below.

Customers that paid Leisure Time (Wales) Ltd by any other method will need to submit a claim to ABTA by clicking here. Please have your documents to hand when submitting your claim and remember to include your bank details so we're able to refund you.

Customers that have booked a package holiday provided by Leisure Time (Wales) Ltd through a travel agent should contact the travel agent in the first instance for further advice and assistance as they may have made alternative arrangements for you.

How long will it take to process my claim?

We are currently estimating that claims may take up to eight weeks to be processed. 

Your claim must be submitted within six months of the date of failure (no later than 25 September 2022).  Claims submitted after this date will not be accepted. When you submit your claim, please ensure you complete all sections and send through all the correct paperwork, receipts and any other documentation that supports your claim. This should prevent us from needing to contact you for further information, which takes additional time.
