Important information for retail travel agents: non-ATOL bookings – Cruise & Maritime Voyages (South Quay Travel & Leisure Limited)

We are pleased to reproduce the following information to all retail travel agents from the Administrators of Cruise & Maritime Voyages (South Quay Travel & Leisure Limited) regarding pipeline money:

Dear Sir/Madam

South Quay Travel & Leisure Limited (In Administration) (“the Company”)
Company Registration Number: 02420678
Court: High Court of Justice
Court Number: CR-2020-MAN000715

I was appointed Joint Administrator of the Company on 20 July 2020, together with Edward Bines and Philip Dakin.

I have considered the position in relation to pipeline monies currently held by agents, which may have been collected from customers prior to the Company being placed into Administration.

Due to the pandemic and related Government travel advice, the Company had already cancelled all cruises for forward dates requiring the collection of balances due prior to the Administration. The customer is entitled to a full refund following the cancellation of the original booking.

Therefore, any pipeline monies held by travel agents should be regarded as due to the customer and should either be repaid to the customer or utilised on the customer’s instructions for alternative arrangements.

Yours faithfully
For and on behalf of
South Quay Travel & Leisure Limited

Paul Williams
Joint Administrator

ATOL claims
