In its submission, ABTA outlined the unsustainable financial pressure on UK travel businesses created by cessation in new bookings, cash refunds, the struggle to receive money back from suppliers, including airlines and hotelier as well as repatriation costs. 

Later, ABTA gave additional evidence concerning the longer-term impacts on the travel industry.
